Tacoma Rainiers Cheney Stadium // Tacoma
Home to baseball’s Pacific Coast league Tacoma Rainiers-the Triple-A affiliate of hometown favorite Seattle Mariners-the fully renovated Cheney Stadium boasts all of the modern amenities that it takes to run a seamless event. And it enjoys sweeping views of Mt. Rainier, to boot.
Venue amenities and conveniences include onsite catering and A/V equipment rental, as well as an exceptional event support staff and close proximity to I-5. Planners have a variety of spaces to choose from, including the 2,000-square-foot, top-floor Summit Club, the 600-square-foot Dugout Club with exclusive access to the player tunnel and underground hospitality space, the stadium’s Kentucky bluegrass field for a gala under the stars, and the 750-square-foot Rainiers Club House.
Also available are luxury suites which can accommodate groups of 20 to 80, and the Party Decks with space for up to 700 guests. Even the dugout is available to rent.
CenturyLink Field // Seattle
Serving as home field for the Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink Field is also a multi-purpose venue that can host everything from small private groups to mega-events like sold-out concerts or lectures, Supercross races, and trade or consumer shows.
The field connects to the CenturyLink Field Event Center, which includes a 200,000-square-foot exhibition hall, as well as the WaMu Theater with space for groups of six to 7,200. The venue also offers onsite catering, as well as two adjoining parking facilities.
JELD-WEN Field // Portland
Home to the major league soccer team Portland Timbers, as well as the Portland State University Vikings football team, JELD-WEN Field completed a major renovation in 2011. "From the renovation, we have many unique event spaces," says JELD-WEN’s Event Coordinator Chelsey Cossey. "We can do company picnics, group dinners, graduations and small events. You can reserve just one section of the stadium, and we can go any which way depending on your expectations."
The venue includes the Community Room, a 1,416-square-foot conference room with built-in screen projector and open audio system. The space can accommodate 60 people comfortably seated. And JELD-WEN Field’s KeyBank Club offers room for 150 people seated or 300 people for a standing reception, as well as a full bar and view of the stadium’s field.
Cossey adds, "We have suites for rent, fitting up to 20 people, and can do nine-person meetings, with an island table for sitting around and couches. We also have locker rooms available and a field-level conference room that can seat about 15 people."
Bronco Stadium // Boise
Primarily used by the Boise State University football team, Bronco Stadium also has a surprising variety of venues that can be rented by private groups. Facilities include the Bronco Stadium for mega events, the Caven-Williams Sports Complex and the Stueckle Sky Center. Stueckle Sky Center opened in 2008 and overlooks the world famous Blue Turf of Bronco Stadium.
The 131,000-square-foot venue includes sky suites, club seating, and five banquet or meeting rooms. Each room has its own appeal, giving prospective facility users a variety of rental options. The 78,000-square-foot Caven-Williams Sports Complex offers a 3,500-person banquet configuration or 2,500-person lecture configuration.
Carlson Center // Fairbanks
The Carlson Center is Northern Alaska’s premier meeting and event facility. Located on the banks of the Chena River, the Carlson Center features the only trade show decorating capabilities in the state’s interior, plentiful parking, handicap accessibility, on-site catering by Savor Alaska, and an on-site production department for all A/V, lighting and technical needs.
The Carlson Center regularly plays host to a variety of sporting, entertainment and business events, including hockey games, basketball camps, concerts, trade shows, meetings, seminars, conventions and corporate banquets. In total, the arena features 35,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space.
The venue has three meeting room options: the 2,370-square-foot North Star Room, the 3850-square-foot Arthur Buswell Pioneer Room, or a combination of both for a total of 6,220 square feet. In addition, the Prow offers 3,000 square feet of event space.
