Featuring the theme “Get in the Meetings Game,” the MPI Oregon and Washington chapters’ 2015 Cascadia Educational Conference was hosted by Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, Washington, this past March, and Northwest Meetings + Events was a sponsor. The conference had 230 registered attendees and included post-meeting gatherings such as the Homecoming Reception.

The industry came together at The Foundry by Herban Feast on Oct. 19, 2017, for our Best of 2017 readers’ choice awards. In addition to great music and food, beer tastings, and candid photo booth snapshots, Northwest Meetings + Events raised approximately $900 for the SEARCH Foundation through a silent auction. The evening was capped off with our awards ceremony presided over by emcee Ron Hippe.

This past May, the Emerging Sales Professionals Association (ESPA)—a Washington state nonprofit corporation that provides professional development training for sales staff from publicly owned convention and meeting venues—held its sixth Emerging Sales Professionals Symposium, ESP6, at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, Washington. ESPA members include sales professionals at all levels from convention and meeting venues in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. The association organizes educational programs each fall and spring.

Northwest Meetings + Events was proud to sponsor the 2017 Cascadia Educational Conference this year. The event took place at Wildhorse Resort & Casino in Pendleton, Oregon, and drew approximately 220 industry leaders. The popular conference brought together members of the Meeting Professionals International chapters of Oregon, Washington state and British Columbia, and featured locally inspired experiences like a hoe-down themed gala and an opening prayer by members of the Confederated Tribes of Umatilla.
