Industry experts gathered at Seattle’s Sodo Park on May 20 to celebrate the winners of the 10th annual Emerald City Applause Awards. Grab your ripped jeans and tuxedo jackets—Seattle Hotel Association’s 20th Annual “Evening of Hope” presented by Delta Air Lines is taking place on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. This year’s Beverly Hillbillies-inspired theme is “Denim to Diamonds,” featuring a blend of high society and hoedown.

 

The Portland Chapter of International Live Events Association (ILEA) held its ever-popular Art of the Party tabletop competition at Vibrant Table Catering & Events on May 24. The fierce but friendly competition didn’t disappoint, showcasing designs ranging from grand elegance to colorful whimsy. 

 

Early bird registration is now available for the 2017 Cascadia Educational Conference—a joint regional conference for Oregon, Washington state and British Columbia chapters of Meeting Professionals International (MPI). The 2017 conference will take place at Wildhorse Resort & Casino in Pendleton, Ore., March 5–7.
