There’s nothing like starting off the New Year with a new look. Just ask The Heathman Hotel in downtown Kirkland, Washington. The hotel has just completed its multimillion-dollar renovation of its 91 guest rooms and suites.

So it’s only fitting that the venue has now launched The VR Bar, a virtual reality (VR) installation that offers guests four ways to experience Seattle and the Space Needle. Visitors can experience (virtually, of course) walking on the Space Needle’s outer halo, flying a seaplane above Lake Union, soaring over Seattle or bungee jumping from more than 52 stories.

Formerly the Lake Grill, the new restaurant, The Cutwater, offers a locally inspired menu, including its famous huckleberry pancakes made with huckleberries foraged from local mountains and the Huckletini, a cocktail creation of vodka, Cointreau and local huckleberries.
Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport is now open for business. The only waterfront hotel within 10 miles of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, the 12-story, 347-room hotel is located on the southeastern shore of Lake Washington in Renton, Washington.
