OK, I admit it. I’m a bit of a Scrabble nerd. Words with Friends is my go-to procrastination app. And I’m just enough of a word geek that I get excited when I hear my dictionary buzz me each morning at 8:03 with the word of the day. So you can imagine how giddy I was when I learned that Skamania Lodge’s updated Washington Room includes a giant Scrabble board—perfect for a little friendly business-retreat competition.

The Washington Room offers a flexible space for creative meetings, focused breakouts and post-meeting receptions. The new design also includes a chalkboard wall, various board games, a built-in 60-inch flat screen TV and a rolling buffet station with beverage fridge. The room is adjacent to the Boulder Terrace with outdoor patio seating, and a private fire pit with café lighting. The Washington Room and Boulder Terrace offers more than 1,400 square feet of space for meetings.

Skamania Lodge is located 45 miles east of Portland, Oregon, in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Maximize (that’s a 78-point word for you right there) your meetings in its new space. For more information, visit skamania.com.
