By M+E Staff

Achieving Level Four certification for the APEX/ASTM Standard, The Oregon Convention Center celebrated top marks for evaluation and selection of venues for environmentally sustainable meetings.

The APEX/ASTM Environmentally Sustainable Meeting Standards, administered by the Convention Industry Council, encourage planners and suppliers to produce greener events.

Scott Cruicshank, the executive director of OCC, expresses gratitude for the recognition, stating, “Certification to the industry’s global standard at its highest level is further evidence of OCC’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.”

iCompli, a division of nonprofit auditor BPA Worldwide, performed the independent third-party evaluation. The center offers two ballrooms, 50 meeting rooms and 255,000 square feet of exhibit space.
