Guest Services

By M+E Staff

I just sold my home, and in the process of moving from one home to the next, I stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton Seattle Airport – Southcenter at 16500 Southcenter Parkway. In my exhaustion, I made a critical error that resulted in me double booking a room at a nearby hotel which I didn’t realize had happened until I arrived about 11 p.m. on Friday night.

When I realized my mistake, I called down to the front desk and spoke with the Night Manager Mariesa who said she would take care of it for me. When she ran into some obstacles, she immediately emailed her manager Janita, who, when I woke up on Saturday, also said she would take care of it for me. And they did. Completely. AND they kept apologizing to me for the inconvenience, even though this was my mistake.

They were so kind, so sympathetic, so what the hospitality industry is all about, that I had to give them a shout-out. When I checked out their reviews on their Facebook page and other review sites, I discovered that I was not the exception to the rule – the hotel’s customer service and friendly staff was noted over and over again. For those of you interested in checking it out for yourself, the hotel’s meeting space includes a 6,100-square-foot ballroom that can accommodate 700 theater-style or 550 banquet seating.
