Former Ice Warehouse Transformed into Upscale Event Space

The most recent private venue to grace the streets of Seattle is anything but a brand-new building. Originally a 1927 ice warehouse, Block 41 is a revamped two-level building featuring 13,000 square feet of event space. Located in the heart of Belltown, the hotspot offers three discrete indoor spaces and a landscaped outdoor courtyard.

“Block 41 is unlike anything else in downtown Seattle,” says Dan Temkin, owner and developer of Block 41. “I knew we had a special opportunity the moment I walked in the door.”

Kindred Resorts & Hotels Debuts New Programs

Kindred Resorts & Hotels has revealed a number of new activities that span across North America. Some of these additions include romantic getaways, culinary adventures, wellness corporate retreats, and more.

Grand Hotel, located in Mackinac Island, Michigan will reopen on May 4 after completing its renovation. Renovations include three new suites, with interior design by Dorothy Draper & Company, and changes to the world’s longest porch at 660-feet. It will be open the first weekend in May through the end of October.

VisitPITTSBURGH has developed a fun promotional campaign to get locals more involved with its “Pittsburgh. Mighty. Beautiful.” theme and tagline. The organization kicked-off the “Mighty. Beautiful.” campaign and contest at its Annual Meeting luncheon by asking attendees to think of a third word to describe the city, e.g. Mighty. Beautiful. Welcoming. Among the words being used to describe Pittsburgh were: Inspiring. Proud. Reinvented. Welcoming. Legendary. Innovative.
