Finding a venue is one of the first decisions a meeting planner makes. Its size and location can make a big impact on meeting attendance. The Sheraton Tysons Hotel—managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts—located outside of Washington, DC, is helping planners choose by offering a package for planners booking through 2020.
Yakima Central Plaza has been approved for development and construction in Yakima Valley, Wash. This will be a $12-million dollar project to convert a parking lot into a public gathering and event space that will be used year-round.
“The plaza will provide a new, dynamic amenity for our residents while attracting visitors and meetings to Yakima,” says John Cooper, president and CEO of Yakima Valley Tourism and a member of the Plaza Steering Committee. “It will be the place everyone gathers to celebrate and enjoy what makes the Yakima Valley special.”
