Rogue Ales & Spirits Brewery Spikes Beer with Spicy Sriracha

The folks at Oregon-based Rogue Ales & Spirits have capitalized on a hot condiment hailed by hipsters and food aficionados alike, introducing the Rogue Sriracha Hot Stout Beer, brewed with that curious condiment that some call “rooster sauce,” thanks to the rooster emblazoned on the bottle. Sriracha is actually just a magic mix of hot sauce, distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt.

Get to Know The Tri-Cities

When Visit Tri-Cities President and CEO Kris Watkins first came to the Tri-Cities from Bellevue, Washington, to open a branch office for her then employer, she had only planned to stay six months. The lure of the Columbia River, abundant golf and romance (she met her now husband Clark during her initial visit) kept her put. Here are three reasons why meeting planners are also drawn to this southeast Washington hub:

Spokane Transformed Into a World-Class Meeting Destination

Spokane is no meetings and events newbie. Situated along the Spokane River in eastern Washington, this Northwest gem became the smallest city to host the World’s Fair in 1974. Expo '74, as it was called, was the first fair centered around environmental issues with a theme of “Celebrating Tomorrow’s Fresh New Environment.” Approximately 5.6 million people attended the fair, and its legacy was an urban renewal that balanced Spokane’s natural beauty with its downtown core.

Luxe Lakefront Venues Add Recreation to Rest & Relaxation

Heading to a lake for corporate retreats or private gatherings is a great way to add a little R&R to an agenda of business meetings or group festivities. But if you’re planning to stay at one of these Northwest lakefront venues, you may want to add another “R” to the rest and relaxation equation: recreation. In addition to generous views of sparkling water and the surrounding landscapes, these resorts provide plenty of opportunities year-round for your guests to amp up or wind down.

Help End Forced Sex and Labor Trade

In the world of meetings and events, planners typically judge the success of a program by its high attendance numbers and effective content delivery, while vendors look to revenue numbers and the successful execution of products or services. There is, however, another number that is often associated with large conferences and conventions that both planners and vendors can work toward decreasing: the number of children exploited through sex trafficking.

Keys to Achieving Trade Show Benefits

Q: I’m planning a trade show. How can I best partner with exhibitors to ensure we’re both successful?
A: First, understand that the person who completed the trade show agreement is not likely the person who will set up the display or staff the booth.

Identify and communicate with key players early to ensure they’re leveraging activation opportunities before, during and after the show. Following is an exhibitor success guide to serve your organization’s needs.
