Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation and the Steamboat Grand Hotel has hired Jennifer Shea as their new sales director. In her new role, Shea will create and implement strategies for local, regional and national channels for tour operators, wholesalers, travel agents, properties and campaigns. She will also be in charge of pricing and products, overseeing conference programs and managing the sales team.

Emerging Sales Professionals—a professional development offering of the International Association of Venue Managers—will host its fifth professional development seminar for staff selling publicly owned or operated convention and meeting venues. The event, called ESP5, will co-locate with the 2016 PCMA / MPIWSC Meetings Industry Summit, which is presented by the Professional Convention Management Association Pacific Northwest Chapter and Meeting Professionals International Washington State Chapter. Both of these powerful educational events will be held on Sept.
For the next two years, Meeting Professionals International will provide meeting management services for the Southeast Education Conference. MPI is responsible for managing and developing the overall program for the 2017 and 2018 conference, which is hosted by SEC's four Florida chapters – Tampa Bay Area, Greater Orlando, North Florida and South Florida – known as TONS.
