The iconic Grand Hyatt New York in Midtown Manhattan recently debuted a multimillion dollar renovation of its conference level, including 12,000 square feet of meeting space and 18 breakout rooms. Designed by New York City-based interior design and architecture firm Nemaworkshop, the new design reflects the energy of the adjacent Grand Central Terminal and the New York City skyline.
Kindred Resorts & Hotels has revealed a number of new activities that span across North America. Some of these additions include romantic getaways, culinary adventures, wellness corporate retreats, and more.
Grand Hotel, located in Mackinac Island, Michigan will reopen on May 4 after completing its renovation. Renovations include three new suites, with interior design by Dorothy Draper & Company, and changes to the world’s longest porch at 660-feet. It will be open the first weekend in May through the end of October.
With 40 acres of land, 400 guest rooms, and 180 luxury suites, Scottsdale Plaza Resort has built a solid reputation. Solidifying this reputation is a renovation to their standard rooms.
The changes include new bathtubs, larger closet and vanity areas, granite counters and more.
“In less than six months we have gone from a ranking of 61 on Trip Advisor to 16, so clearly the renovations to our standard rooms contributed to that,” says Sheryl Bettencourt, director of marketing for the resort.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel Seattle has recently completed a $13 million renovation to guest rooms and suites, as well as the addition of more accessible rooms, totaling 416 rooms in the revitalized hotel.
The hotel now houses 13 ADA-compliant guest rooms and 22 guest rooms for the hearing impaired. Last year, the hotel revamped its public areas, including the concierge lounge and on-site restaurant. The fitness center at the hotel doubled in size under that renovation as well.
