• Renton Hotel Welcomes New Hire

Hyatt Regency Lake Washington appointed Victor Diaz as director of operations, bringing 15 years of hospitality experience at world renowned resorts as well as various other hotels in the Hyatt portfolio, according to the hotel’s announcement. 

Situated just south of Seattle along Lake Washington, the hotel is home to 347 rooms and more than 60,000 square feet of event space. Diaz will oversee myriad divisions of the hotel, with a specific focus on the Rooms and Food & Beverage sectors, “aiming to create a unique a luxurious experience for guests,” notes Diaz in the announcement. 

Having grown up in Dorado, Puerto Rico, just northwest of San Juan, Diaz attended the University of Puerto Rico and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in humanities and foreign languages. These skills offer him the ability to foster an environment of operational excellence in a way that improves guest satisfaction and develops strong business partnerships along the way.

“We’re excited to welcome someone with a long history with Hyatt Corporate here to Hyatt Regency Lake Washington,” says General Manager Scott Lane in the announcement. 

Visit Seattle, in partnership with the King County government, will host “Cloudbreak: Seattle’s Revive Live Music Fest,” in support of Seattle’s music community.
