• Rogue Ales & Spirits Brewery Spikes Beer with Spicy Sriracha

The folks at Oregon-based Rogue Ales & Spirits have capitalized on a hot condiment hailed by hipsters and food aficionados alike, introducing the Rogue Sriracha Hot Stout Beer, brewed with that curious condiment that some call “rooster sauce,” thanks to the rooster emblazoned on the bottle. Sriracha is actually just a magic mix of hot sauce, distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt. For your next catered affair, Rogue’s beer, like the sauce, pairs well with various vittles, from soups, sauces, pasta, pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers and chow mein to, well, just about anything you’d like to spice up.

Blame it on the eight seasons of “Portlandia” or simply on the way people rave about the city when they return from visiting. Portland is experiencing a hotel boom. Collectively, the recent wave in hotel development has resulted in an increase in room inventory of nearly 50 percent since 2016.

 

This small Oregon city is big on charm and amenities. 

Situated in central western Oregon, tucked between the Cascade and Coastal mountain ranges, Corvallis is in the heart  of Willamette Valley and home to Oregon State University.

Population: 60,000 with Oregon State University students making up about 40% of the population. 

 

When meeting planners start getting together for fam trips, it’s a sign that things are beginning to get back to normal. That’s what happened in late July when about a dozen planners from across the country—Atlanta, Boston, Seattle, Southern California, New York, Chicago and Nashville—gathered in Boise to check out what the city has to offer. The answer, in a nutshell: quite a lot. By the end of the three-day visit, several planners were already committed to hosting events in the Boise area. We’ll have a lot more to say about the city in an upcoming issue.
