1. What are you looking forward to in your new role as general manager of Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland?
Provenance Hotels is opening a new hotel, Dossier, in downtown Portland. The 205-room hotel is slated to open in the summer of 2017 and will be located at SW Park Ave. and SW Alder St. The property will have an intimate feel and provide a place of refuge for busy travelers.
Provenance Hotels aims to elevate the guest experience with this new hotel. Comfort and warmth will be a part of every detail of the design throughout the hotel. Guests can expect extraordinary customer service.
Finding a venue is one of the first decisions a meeting planner makes. Its size and location can make a big impact on meeting attendance. The Sheraton Tysons Hotel—managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts—located outside of Washington, DC, is helping planners choose by offering a package for planners booking through 2020.
Hilton Portland is set to undergo a huge transformation that is scheduled to be complete in spring 2017. Renovations will include updates to the guest rooms and lobby, a new restaurant and bar, and meeting space.
The 782-room hotel, located in the heart of downtown Portland, is in the early stages of its renovation. They will first update their existing 60,000 square feet of meeting space, and relocating the fitness room. They've also added a 5,500-square-foot ballroom and additional breakout space.

1. What are you looking forward to the most in your new role as the director of catering at AT&T Executive Hotel and Conference Center?
On Thursday, Oct. 20, Boise Centre officially celebrated the grand opening of City Centre Plaza, which includes the new Clearwater Analytics Building, Boise Centre East, Main Street Station and Boise State University Computer Science Department. The expansion includes 36,000 square feet of additional meeting and event space, including a new ballroom that can accommodate 800 guests seated, eight new meeting rooms, and two levels of pre-function and lobby space.
Rams football legends Rosey Grierm Dennis Harrah, Nolan Cromwell and LeRoy Irvin along with their teammates were the first guests to stay at the newly-opened Shade Hotel Redondo Beach.

The 2017 PACK EXPO Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging EXPO, set for Sept. 25–27 appears to be on track to exceed its 2015 numbers, according to The Association for the Packaging and Processing Technologies, PACK EXPO’s producer. PACK EXPO Las Vegas increased its sales by 10 percent and Healthcare Packaging EXPO is up by 20 percent. Their show is predicted to be sold out with more than 2,000 companies exhibiting.
